Students in Mrs. Shepperson's Health and Life Management class were interpreting nutritional information on food labels to help them analyze diets so that they can better understand the importance of food labels! Nice job everyone! Learning skills that can be used in day to day life is always a priority!

Our art programs at AHS are wonderful. I got to spend some time today with our drawing students and seeing their early drafts of comic strips and other projects. These will go through a number of revisions and refinement to arrive at the final product. The innovate pillar of our Portrait of a Graduate is alive and well.

We were proud to welcome Lt. Governor Driscoll, Secretary of Education Tutwiler, and Commission of Education Martinez to host the Massachusetts' Graduation Counsel's launch of their Vision of a Massachusetts Graduate. AHS was chosen because of our high academic standards, leadership in developing our own portrait of a graduate, and commitment to Reimagining High School initiatives like Career and Technical Education and Early College opportunities. We're so proud of this honor and all the hard work that so many staff, students, and community members have put in to make it a reality.
Our vision and mission of being a community united around education and providing relevant and engaging learning experiences was validated in a significant way and every member of our school community should be proud to be part of it.
