Upcoming Events

  • Wednesday, Oct 21 - (P)SAT School Day Exams

  • Wednesday, Oct 21 - Trimester One Progress Reports

  • Thursday, Oct 29 - Parent-Teacher Conferences

Reminder: PSAT and SAT School Day is Wednesday!

Who is testing? The majority of Grade 10 students, grade 11 students who registered for the PSAT/NMSQT, and grade 12 students who registered for the SAT School Day will test on Wednesday, October 21 at Attleboro High School. Students will begin the day in a brief X block before heading to their assigned testing rooms. Students must be in their testing rooms by 7:35 AM. Please note that, unlike grade 11 and 12 test takers, grade 10 students do not need to register for the PSAT.

Testing Rooms: Most students will test alphabetically by house. Please refer to this document for your testing room assignment. Students can also confirm their location with their X block teacher in the days before the test.

What to Bring? 1) Fully charged, school-issued Chromebook. Testing is digital. Students are encouraged to bring a charging cord if they are concerned about battery life. 2) Calculator (optional). The math section includes an embedded calculator, but students are welcome to bring their own. See the College Board’s calculator policy.

Phones and Electronic Devices: All cell phones and electronic devices must be turned off and put away during testing. This includes smart watches, earbuds, headphones, and Meta/smart glasses. The College Board specifically prohibits the use of Meta/smart glasses, and students who wear glasses may be asked to confirm that theirs do not violate College Board rules. Students should consider leaving smart glasses at home.

Using any of these devices during testing is a College Board violation and may result in cancellation of test scores.

Picture Retake Day

On Monday, November 9, Lifetouch will be back at the High School for picture retakes.  As in years past, picture retakes are available for 1) students who were absent on Picture Day (September 17), 2) new students to the district since September 17, or 3) any student whose family purchased a photo package and wishes to have their photo taken again. Students in the last category must bring their photo package with them (or if you purchased a digital package, they must have proof of purchase). We will have a list of eligible students to reference their eligibility.

If you purchased a package and wish to have your student’s photo taken again, please register them on this form. Students who were absent will automatically be registered. Anyone not registered or who does not have a purchased package will not be allowed to have their photo taken. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Kristin Berlo at 508-222-5150, Ext. 20019 or kberlo@attleboroschools.com.

Big Blue We Got You!

Did you know that bullying can be physical, verbal, social, or online, and a large number of bullying incidents go unreported because students fear retaliation or believe nothing will change? BIG BLUE WE GOT YOU!  For October, we’re talking about bullying, and exploring how YOU can make a difference because even small acts of kindness and inclusion can make a significant difference for someone being bullied. See It. Stop It. Speak Up. Remember, no student has to navigate challenges alone. Our school community has caring adults and resources ready to listen, support, and respond, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to your student’s teachers, counselor, or house office whenever support is needed.

Organization Matters!

Good organizational habits help students stay on top of assignments, reduce stress, and build confidence. Families can support success by encouraging students to use a planner or calendar, establish a consistent homework routine, and take a few minutes each week to organize backpacks, folders, and materials.

Quick Tip: Spend 10 minutes each Sunday reviewing the week ahead and preparing for upcoming assignments and activities. A little planning goes a long way! 📚✅
