AHS Students in the News!
Shout out to our Future Focus, Band, Chorus, and Drama students who attended Wicked last week. See AHS students discuss firsthand what the broadways experience means to them. We are grateful for our partnership with the Rodman for Kids Foundation. Because of their generosity, our students have the opportunity to experience the Arts through Broadway plays at no cost.
Reminder: Action Required: Annual Student Information Update and Sign-Offs
We ask parents/guardians to update student information annually (emergency contact information, etc). This year we will be doing this digital via Aspen. Here are the directions for how to do so: Annual Student Update - PARENT TUTORIAL.docx. The parent/guardian sign-offs of APS Student Handbooks and the Acceptable Use of Digital Resources policy is also included.
PSAT/NMSQT and SAT School Day: Student and Family Information
Who is testing? The majority of Grade 10 students, grade 11 students who registered for the PSAT/NMSQT, and grade 12 students who registered for the SAT School Day will test on Wednesday, October 21 at Attleboro High School. Students will begin the day in a brief X block before heading to their assigned testing rooms. Students must be in their testing rooms by 7:35 AM. Please note that, unlike grade 11 and 12 test takers, grade 10 students do not need to register for the PSAT.
Testing Rooms: Most students will test alphabetically by house. Please refer to this document for your testing room assignment. Students can also confirm their location with their X block teacher in the days before the test.
What to Bring?
Fully charged, school-issued Chromebook. Testing is digital. Students are encouraged to bring a charging cord if they are concerned about battery life.
Calculator (optional). The math section includes an embedded calculator, but students are welcome to bring their own. See the College Board’s calculator policy.
Phones and Electronic Devices: All cell phones and electronic devices must be turned off and put away during testing. This includes smart watches, earbuds, headphones, and Meta/smart glasses. The College Board specifically prohibits the use of Meta/smart glasses, and students who wear glasses may be asked to confirm that theirs do not violate College Board rules. Students should consider leaving smart glasses at home
Using any of these devices during testing is a College Board violation and may result in cancellation of test scores

PSAT/SAT Payment Reminder
Students registered for the Grade 11 PSAT ($20 fee) or Grade 12 School Day SAT ($60 fee) are encouraged to pay online through UniPay Gold (details were emailed to students who registered last week).
Lost and Found
If you’ve misplaced any personal items, check the Lost & Found located in the Balcony Office (Room A-234). To keep things organized, all lost items will be collected in this single central location this year.

Staying Healthy and Attending School This Fall: as cold and flu season approaches, it's important to keep students healthy and in school whenever possible. Even excused absences can add up and affect learning. Students with mild symptoms, such as a runny nose or occasional cough, can attend school. However, students with a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or other significant symptoms should stay home to recover.
Families can help prevent illness-related absences by encouraging regular handwashing, healthy sleep routines, and other preventive habits. If you're unsure whether your child should attend school, contact your school nurse or healthcare provider for guidance. Every school day is an opportunity to learn, connect, and grow!
