Action Required: Annual Student Information Update and Sign-Offs

We ask parents/guardians to update student information annually (emergency contact information, etc). This year we will be doing this digital via Aspen. Here are the directions for how to do so: Annual Student Update - PARENT TUTORIAL.docx. The parent/guardian sign-offs of APS Student Handbooks and the Acceptable Use of Digital Resources policy is also included.

Back to School Night

We are excited to host Back to School Night starting at 6:00 on Thursday, September 10. This is a great opportunity for families to meet their student’s teachers and learn about the classes that they are taking. Families will visit all eight of their student’s classes in sequential order. Our “bell” schedule for the evening is below. 

Here are some additional notes about Back to School Night:

• Parking is available in the lots on either side of the building as well as behind the building. Please do not park on neighborhood streets.

• Please enter through our main doors at the front of the building (by the flag poles) or through the cafeteria doors (under the big Blue A) at the back of the building.

• It is recommended that you bring a screenshot or paper copy of your student’s schedule to follow. Please talk to your student about their classes and the order in which they take them.

• Here is a map of the entire building: AHS MAP.

• The intended audience for this evening is parents/guardians; families may bring children if that is what is best for them. 

• The Admin Team will be available in common spaces and in House Offices (second floor) throughout the evening.

• If you need access to an elevator, there is one in the main lobby. 

• The intention of this event is for teachers to introduce themselves to families and share general information about their classes, not provide individual conferences. As such, parents and guardians will follow their student’s schedule (all eight periods). 

Need to drop off medication for your student? 

The school nurses will be set up in the Principal’s Office during Back to School Night. Families can stop by to drop off medications, action plans, and other health paperwork for the upcoming school year. 

Looking to confirm your student’s schedule? 

Here is an easy way to access it:

• Log into Aspen.

• Click on Family Top Tab.

• Click on your student’s name.

• Click on the Schedule side tab.

  • Once viewing the schedule, click on “List view.” This hyperlink is under the Reports and Help buttons. Also make sure you have selected T1 for Time. See the screenshot below.

School Picture Day

On Tuesday, September 22, Attleboro High School, in partnership with Lifetouch, will be holding our annual picture day. Order forms will be available for students in their X-Block class, their house office, the Student Activities Office, the Balcony and the Principal's office. All students will be required to have a picture taken for use in Aspen.  We look forward to seeing those smiles!

SAT School Day Message  - Grade 12

At Attleboro High School, we believe in creating as many opportunities as possible for our students to own their future. That’s why we are offering the SAT School Day for grade 12 students who choose to take the exam. The test will be administered on Wednesday, October 21, during the school day. This option provides a convenient alternative to the Saturday administration, helping students avoid conflicts with work or other weekend commitments. 

• Format: The exam will be given digitally. Students must use their school-issued device. 

• Registration: Complete THIS FORM by Thursday, September 24. 

• Important: Do not register through The College Board for this administration. 

• Cost: $60. Please note that the College Board does not allow SAT fee waivers for School Day administrations. Once your test is ordered, you will receive instructions on how and where to pay.

PSAT School Day Message - Grade 11

We are offering the PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) to grade 11 students who choose to take the exam. Whether you are considering a two- or four-year college, a job training program, or are still exploring your options, the PSAT/NMSQT can provide valuable insights to help clarify your postsecondary path. 

Why take the PSAT/NMSQT? 

• Identify your academic strengths and areas for growth while you are still in high school. 

• Track progress from grade 10 to grade 11. 

• Qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program (if eligible). 

• Gain practice for the SAT. 

• Learn which AP courses you may be ready to take. 

• Explore college and career options matched to your results. 

• Access resources to help plan and pay for college. 

Exam Details

• Date: Wednesday, October 21, 2026 

• Location: Administered during the school day on your school-issued Chromebook 

• Cost: $20 for juniors 

• Registration Deadline: Thursday, September 24, 2026 

• Action Required: Complete THIS FORM to reserve your spot.

Parents of the Class of 2027: The Yearbook staff is working on your student’s 2027 yearbook! There is a lot of important information about the yearbook and its deadlines. All of that information can be found HERE. (Please be advised that this document is also in your Senior’s Class of 2027 Google Classroom.) AHS College and Career Fair

AHS will host its annual College and Career Fair on Monday, September 28. This fair is for all juniors and seniors. Students do not need to sign up. Please see the College and Career Fair 2026 list to date.  Students will be called to the cafeteria at the designated time. The schedule is as follows:

• 8:30 - 9:10 seniors

• 9:05 - 9:25 Underclassmen volunteers/ACRE

• 9:15 -10:00 juniors

There will be a change to parking that day for students. We will need to use C lot for the college representatives. Students will park in D lot and Highland.

Student Parking Passes

Students who registered for parking should visit the Student Activities Office during their lunch on Tuesday or Wednesday next week to pick up their parking pass. Students who have not yet registered can complete this form.

Grant Supported Counseling Services Opt-Out

During the 2026-2027 school year, Attleboro Public Schools is partnering with the Justice Resource Institute (JRI), through a grant to promote health and wellness in our school. The grant provides students access to individual and/or group counseling, at no cost to families or the school district. Services are delivered by JRI clinicians and take place during the school day either in-person or virtually. Students are identified for these services by members of the AHS Student Support Team. Once referrals are received by JRI, parent contact is made to discuss service options and to gain secondary consent before services are delivered. If you have any questions regarding these services or this opt-out form, please contact Athena Sullivan at asullivan@attleboroschools.com. If you do NOT want your child to be referred for these grant-supported services, please complete the opt-out form below by September 18, 2026.   This JRI Consent Form linked here is effective from the day it is received by the school and will remain in effect for the duration of the 2026-2027 school year.

APS uses Rooms to keep you connected with school news, updates, and important information. If you ever have questions about using this tool, Apptegy (the company that produces Rooms) offers a helpful support site called Rooms Central with a section made just for parents and guardians. There you will find guidance on setting up notifications, navigating the app, and finding the information you need.
