AP Exams Begin on Monday, May 4
AP Exams begin Monday, May 4! Week 1 testers have received emails with their testing room assignments. This message provides general information and guidance:
Bring your fully charged school issued Chromebook and a charging cord for testing each day. College Board has updated the BlueBook app. Students are advised to open up the BlueBook app over the weekend to ensure the app completes automatic update processes.
Phones and other devices will be turned off and removed from the testing room before testing begins. Unpaid fees are now considered obligations. Fees can be paid online by logging in to www.MySchoolBucks.com or in person in the house office. Students with unpaid fees will be allowed to test.
Noon AP exams will get out after the school day ends. Students need to make arrangements for getting home after. Once in the testing room, students will not have access to their phones to text or call to coordinate a ride. This should be done in advance.
Students may need to eat their lunch at an adjusted time due to their test schedule. Lunch guidance has been communicated to testers when they received their room assignments.
Students are allowed to have a bottle of water in the test room. There is a 10 min break in each test. They may keep a neat, quick and quiet snack under their seats to enjoy during the 10 min break.
Virtual Service Academy Night
The Office of Congressman Auchincloss is hosting a Virtual Service Academy Night on Tuesday, May 12th from 6:15-7:30pm. This is an opportunity for high school students in grades 9-11 to learn more about the application process for five United States Service Academies: West Point, Navy, Air Force, Merchant Marines, and Coast Guard.
During the Academy Night, students will get to hear from Congressman Auchincloss’ staff about the Congressional nomination process required for four of the five service academies (Coast Guard Academy does not require a Congressional nomination). We will also be joined by representatives from each of the service academies to hear about the individual schools’ application processes.
Pre-registration for the webinar is required. Students and parents may register for the webinar at this LINK.
