Welcome back! We are excited for the first day of school on Tuesday, September 2. Our teachers have spent time collaborating and preparing for a positive and engaging start. Relationship building is a priority as the year begins as we want students to feel connected and part of the AHS community. As many of our families know, we have high expectations for all our students which in turn has built a learning environment and school community we can all be proud of. We look forward to getting to know our new students. Attleboro High has become a leader in Massachusetts for our comprehensive school structure, but also recognized for the opportunities our students have here.
Today’s message is a comprehensive one with lots of back to school information. Please reach out to your house office with any questions or concerns. Family relationships are important and we feel the collaboration between school and families is important for student success.

Fire Drill
We will have a fire drill sometime in early September. We conduct this drill at the start of the year so students and staff can practice a safe and efficient evacuation of the building. We will notify families when the drill has been completed.
Cell Phones
Reminder: To ensure that students remain focused and engaged during lessons, all cell phones will be placed in classroom cell phone pouches during academic time. This policy is in place to minimize distractions and create the best possible learning environment.
Students will have access to their phones during designated times, such as lunch breaks, before and after school, and in between classes. Parents/guardians: we ask that all communication during class time go through the house office. If you need to reach your student during school hours, please contact your student's house office directly. We will promptly relay any urgent messages. Thank you for your understanding and support in helping us maintain a productive learning space for all students.
2025-26 Grade Scale
AHS is adopting a modified grading scale for the 2025-26 school year. Two changes to note: 1) we will move from reporting numbers (95, 88, 73, etc) to letters (A, B+, C-, etc) on report cards and transcripts, and 2) we will move from reporting GPA on a 100 point scale to a 4.3 scale. This document has additional details regarding the change.
