Guidance counselors hosted a very successful week of the Massachusetts College Application Celebration. Thanks to representatives from five colleges who handed out about 120 admission decisions to our seniors! Students were offered acceptances to Bridgewater State University, Bristol Community College, Framingham State University, Roger Williams University, and UMass Dartmouth. As of November 22, more than 250 of our seniors have already submitted over 1100 applications to these and other colleges. We are so proud of our seniors for all the hard work they are putting into planning for their futures!

We have two days of school next week with many school spirit events planned for the student body. See below for our even/odd calendar for the rest of 2024. Please notice Dec 6 is the end of Trimester 1.
CTE Update
If you ordered Thanksgiving pies and breads from the Blue Pride Bistro, please remember that pick -up is Tuesday, November 26th, from 7:30 - 1:50.
Student Dismissals
A reminder from our Handbook: Students requiring dismissal must present a note or email to their respective House Office before the beginning of the school day, stating the reason and requested dismissal time, accompanied by a phone number where a parent/guardian may be reached. Please note that we have recently experienced an increase in walk-in dismissal requests. When dismissing students via in the moment walk-ins, it prolongs the dismissal process. Please dismiss students with as much advance notice as possible.
Student Working Papers
Students seeking to obtain working papers should do so in the principal’s office between 6:45 and 7:10am, during their scheduled lunch period, or at the end of the school day immediately after dismissal. Students will not be allowed to request working papers during class time.
College and Career Alumni Series 2024-2025
Calling all former AHS students! The Guidance Department and the Future Focus Club are excited to bring back our Alumni Series visits while our former students are home on break. Current students are interested in hearing their perspectives on what it means to be a freshman in a variety of settings.
If you know of any member of our alumni who will be back from break and would be willing to come in and share their experiences, Please share this form with them Alumni Series 2024-2025 interest form to let us know the general availability in January (which will be during our school day) and if there is a better email address to use.
