At Attleboro High School, we believe in creating as many opportunities as possible for our students to own their future. That’s why we offer the PSAT/NMSQT® (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) to our grade 10 and 11 students.
Grade 10 students are automatically signed up for the PSAT.
Grade 11 students must opt into the PSAT through THIS FORM.
Whether your child is thinking about attending a two- or four-year college, is going straight into the workforce, or isn’t sure what they want to do after high school, the PSAT/NMSQT can help make their path clearer.
Results from the PSAT/NMSQT provide insights into your child’s academic strengths, along with areas they can work on while still in high school.
Taking the PSAT/NMSQT can also help your child to:
▪ Enter the National Merit® Scholarship Program if they meet program requirements specified in the PSAT/NMSQT Student Guide.
▪ See where they are and set a target for where they want to be.
▪ Practice and prepare for the Digital SAT®.
▪ Find out what AP® courses they’re ready to take.
▪ Plan and pay for college.
▪ Connect to their future career.
This fall the PSAT/NMSQT will be administered in a new digital format that will provide an overall easier testing experience for students. The SAT is going digital in spring 2024.
Your child will take the PSAT/NMSQT in October using their own school-issued device.
Grade 10 Students and Families: Please complete this form by September 5 if you do NOT want your Grade 10 student to participate in this opportunity. This is an opt out form.
Grade 11 Students and Families: In order for your grade 11 student to take this exam, we need to register them for the administration. Please complete this form (same form as above) by September 5 if you want to participate in this opportunity. This is an opt in form. The cost for most grade 11 students is $20. Once your test is ordered, you will be notified where and how to pay for your exam.
