Community Open House

On Saturday, September 24, from 10:00 to 12:00, we will open the doors of AHS for a community open house. We will have students and staff available for tours, as well as stationed throughout the building for guests to ask questions if they would rather explore on their own. We are so proud and appreciative to finally be able to share our school with everyone.

Back to School Night

Save the date! We are hosting families for our annual back to school night from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 28. This is an in-person event. We hope to see you there!

5 Minutes Earlier

Attention morning drop-off families: We are getting much more efficient at drop-off. Remember two lanes of arrival to move through faster. Please continue to follow  police or staff directions when pulling in. Although cars are moving through easier,  we would like many of you to drop your students off five minutes earlier.

Remember: students need to be in their classrooms by 7:15 and those who don’t make it on time are marked tardy. Excessive tardiness will result in consequences such as after school detentions, extended detentions, and credit loss.

Dismissal Pick-Up

If you pick your child up in the afternoon, please remember there is no parking in front of the school. This blocks traffic as well as emergency vehicles  needing to get through.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we get the arrival and dismissal patterns running efficiently and safely.

Grade 9 Chromebooks Distributed

This week we distributed Chromebooks to almost the entire freshmen class. Students who were absent for distribution can pick up theirs in their house office. Don’t forget to bring in your old Chromebook and charger.

Grant Supported Counseling Services Opt-Out

During the 2022-2023 school year, Attleboro Public Schools is partnering with the Justice Resource Institute (JRI), through a grant to promote health and wellness in our school. The grant provides students access to individual and/or group counseling, at no cost to families or the school district. Services are delivered by JRI clinicians and take place during the school day either in-person or virtually. Students are identified for these services by members of the AHS Student Support Team. Once referrals are received by JRI, parent contact is made to discuss service options and to gain secondary consent before services are delivered. If you have any questions regarding these services or this opt-out form, please contact Athena Sullivan at (508) 222-5150 ext. 20041 or asullivan@attleboroschools.com. If you do NOT want your child to be referred for these grant-supported services, please complete the opt-out form below by September 30, 2022.  This JRI Consent Form linked here is effective from the day it is received by the school and will remain in effect for the duration of the 2022-2023 school year.

There is a positive energy and excitement as we finish week three. AHS students are handling the new school expectations and showing what amazing individuals they are. The staff are enthusiastic for the school year and all the possibilities it may bring to each and every Attleboro High School student.
