Family Update 8.22.22
We are all very excited to have AHS students in the building this week for two different events: Grade 10-12 tours and Freshmen Orientation.
Grade 10-12 Tours
We will hold new building tours by grade level on Tuesday, August 23 at the following times:
Incoming Grade 10 Students - 8:00 am
Incoming Grade 11 Students - 9:00 am
Incoming Grade 12 Students - 10:00 am
Tours will be given by house and will last approximately 30 minutes. This is a drop-off event; at this event, tours are for students only. There will be an open house for families on Saturday, September 24.
Remember that this year House 2 students are moving to House 3 and House 3 students are moving to House 2. Knowing this will get you the right tour.
Please drop-off and pick-up students via the main entrance at the Principal’s Lot. Families should follow the bright green arrows and go through the loop. Enter across from Berndt Drive. Exit across from Green Drive. Once in the loop, proceed via the throughway that is closest to the main entrance (you will see One Blue Pride Way signage over the door). Drop students off at the main door. During these tours, please do not park in any lot. At pick-up, you may form a line in the loop (bright green arrow) starting at 30 minutes past the hour of your tour or arrange to pick-up your student at a nearby location. See map below.
If students are driving and parking for this event, please park at the Highland Lot. This lot is located directly off of Rathbun Willard Drive.
Freshmen Orientation will occur on Thursday, August 25 at 5:30 pm. This is an in-person event and will occur in the new building. Please allow yourself plenty of time for parking as we plan to start in the Bray Auditorium promptly at 5:30. Our new school store will be open for business. Feel free to stop by our store in the cafeteria.
For this event only, you may park in any of the lots located in the front of the school (A, B, or Principal’s Lot). Please see map. Once you have arrived, please enter through the main doors near the flag poles.
