Next Week and Beyond

We have five days of school next week. Please see the calendar below for the odd/even day schedule and additional details.

Student Survey on Monday

Each year, students in grades 3-12 participate in a survey as part of Attleboro's involvement in the Massachusetts Consortium for Innovative Education Assessment (MCIEA) which aims to help schools and the community measure school quality outside of simply relying on MCAS data. Our students will be participating in this year's survey starting Monday and until February break. The survey takes approximately 15-30 minutes and is done during the school day. If you would like to see the results of previous surveys/questions, please visit the MCIEA School Quality Measures Dashboard.

Mandated Grade 10 Health Screenings

We will be conducting vision, hearing, and BMI (height & weight) screenings for all 10th grade students during the week of February 10, 2025. These screenings are part of our routine health assessments to help ensure the well-being of all students. If you would like to opt your child out of these screenings, please submit a written request by February 6, 2025. You may send a note with your child or contact the school nurse directly at AHSNurses@attleboroschools.com. Thank you for your cooperation.

Progress Reports Upcoming

We plan to share trimester two progress reports next Wednesday. Please be on the lookout for these reports, which will be shared digitally via Aspen. Here’s how to access them:

  • STEP 1: Log into your Aspen family account (https://ma-attleboro.myfollett.com) and click the “Pages” top tab.

  • STEP 2: Find the Published Reports heading on the main page.

  • STEP 3: Click the Progress Report under that heading.

If you have concerns about your student’s performance in any class, please contact the teacher. T2 ends in mid-March, so there is still plenty of time to improve performance.

Student Dismissals

As we work together to ensure the health and safety of all students, we want to send a quick reminder of our school’s procedure when a student feels unwell during the school day.  If your student is not feeling well, they should visit the school nurse for assessment first rather than contacting parent/guardian to arrange dismissal.  The nurse will assess their condition and determine the appropriate course of action.  If dismissal is necessary, the nurse will contact you directly to coordinate pick up.  This process ensures that all students receive proper medical attention and that we follow established health and safety protocols. Please know that if your student does not follow this procedure it will be considered an unexcused dismissal through the house office.  We appreciate your support in reinforcing this expectation with your student.

CTE Update

The Blue Pride Bistro will be open next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
