This week began with the second rotation of Technical Exploratory where nearly 500 students cycle through all 19 of our Career and Technical Education Programs. This experience offers students hands-on college and career advice. We also were informed by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education that our newest program, Environmental Science and Technology, has obtained Chapter74 Certification. This certification ensures students with articulated college credit along with a nationally recognized Certificate of Occupational Proficiency, which is essentially a CTE diploma.

Student Drivers - C Lot Closed on Monday
This is a follow-up reminder that C lot will be closed to students on Monday to accommodate our guests (see below). Students can park in D Lot on a first come first serve basis; the Highland lot will also be open.
College and Career Fair
AHS will host its annual College and Career Fair on Monday, September 30. This fair is for all juniors and seniors. Students do not need to sign up. Please see the list of College & Career Fair 2024 attendees. Grade levels will be called to the cafeteria at the designated time. The schedule is as follows:
8:30-9:10 Seniors
9:05-9:30 Underclassmen volunteers
9:15-9:45 Juniors
Notes
Seniors should bring their belongings with them to the fair as they will be dismissed from class at 8:25.
Juniors can leave their belongings in your locked classroom.
PARKING REMINDER (once again): Lot C will be closed to students on Monday to accommodate our guests. Students can park in Lot D on a first come first serve basis; the Highland lot will also be open. Staff may still park in Lot C.
Transportation: Bus Information
As of September 30, 2024, students that have not completed a Transportation Application will not be allowed to ride the bus. If a student is at a bus stop in the morning, they will be brought in to school but will not be able to take the bus home if they are not registered. There is no waitlist so any new applications will have a 72-hour turnaround for the bus to be assigned. Families can learn more and apply on the APS Transportation webpage.
BPAC Meeting October 1st 5:30
We are inviting AHS families to join us as we review and rejuvenate our Blue Pride Ambassador Club. This group along with administration/staff serve as our AHS PTO. We are looking for families to feel connected and involved with our school community. ELPAC Meeting
Join parents and guardians of other English Learners for an ELPAC meeting on October 17, 2024, at 5:30 PM. Parents/Guardians who attend will learn about school communication, school calendars, and the services available to students in the English Learner's program.
If you need an interpreter, you must inform your student's ELL Teacher by Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
Childcare will NOT be provided for this meeting. Children may attend and sit quietly at the table with their parents in the meeting.

Food in School
Due to safety concerns relating to food allergies and various medical concerns, Attleboro Public Schools does not allow for the distribution or sale of homemade food items during the school day nor sharing of food among students. During evening events, when parents are present - store bought, baked goods are preferred given the guidance from the city health department. In the event that a homemade food item is provided, a list of ingredients must be posted and available in multiple languages. Parents will use their discretion as to whether it is safe for their child.
