Happy Friday! We hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine and the last few days of summer vacation. Administration and staff have been getting ready for our Sept. 3rd start. Exciting year ahead for AHS.

Cell Phone Usage 24/25

We wanted to inform you about our classroom policy regarding cell phones. To ensure that students remain focused and engaged during lessons, all cell phones will be placed in classroom cell phone pouches during academic time. This policy is in place to minimize distractions and create the best possible learning environment.

Students will have access to their phones during designated times, such as lunch breaks, before and after school, and in between classes. Parents/guardians: we ask that all communication during class time go through the house office. If you need to reach your student during school hours, please contact your student's house office directly. We will promptly relay any urgent messages. Thank you for your understanding and support in helping us maintain a productive learning space for all students.

Freshmen Reminders

• Chromebook Distribution - Tuesday, Aug 27,  from 9:00 to 11:00

  • Students should bring their old Chromebooks and chargers and exchange them for new ones.

  • If you cannot make it on Tuesday, then you can get your Chromebook at Freshmen Orientation.

  • Recommended distribution times

    • 9:00 - last name A through C

    • 9:30 - last name D through L

    • 10:00 - last name M through P

    • 10:30 - last name Q through Z

  • Once you receive your Chromebook, please charge it at home and connect it to wifi to ensure it is working. If you have any issues, contact our Office of Information Technology at OIT@attleboroschools.com

• Freshmen Orientation - Wednesday, August 28, at 6:00 pm

  • Families can park at the front or rear of the building.

  • Students who weren’t able to get Chromebooks on Tuesday will have a chance to do so starting at 5:00 on August 28.

Get Our Communication App

We are transitioning away from email as a primary communication platform.  We will be using our new website and its communication features to share messaging with students and families. If you haven’t already done so, please download the app designed for mobile devices (and be sure notifications are turned on). It’s everything AHS in your pocket:

Once you have downloaded the app, complete these two important steps:

• Turn on Notifications (sometimes you must go to the Settings app on your phone)

• Select “Attleboro High School” as your school (you can select multiple schools)

Please note that you don’t need to re-register if you already have an account.
