MCAS Score Reports

All students who took MCAS last year will be receiving their score reports next Friday, October 27. These score reports are paper copies and contain important information in regard to high school graduation requirements. Please review this report carefully and contact your student’s guidance counselor with any questions.

Progress Reports

We plan to share trimester one progress reports next Wednesday. Please be on the lookout for these reports, which will be shared digitally via Aspen. Here’s how to access the report:

  • STEP 1: Log into your Aspen family account (https://ma-attleboro.myfollett.com) and click the “Pages” top tab.

  • STEP 2: Find the Published Reports heading on the main page.

  • STEP 3: Click the Progress Report under that heading.

If you have concerns about your student’s performance in any class, please contact the teacher. T1 ends December 1.

Thanks Kelly Bergeron and her Radio/Broadcasting team for another great update.

This week’s Blue Pride News: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgCSe3A--Xw

Thank you to Lisa Crisafulli and the Marketing Dept for bringing Breast Cancer Awareness to AHS this month. The Blue Hanger (school store)  sold out all pink sweatshirts quickly last week and have already preordered more stock. Our school spirit pink out days were today and next Friday.

Please see the great article George Rhodes wrote after he stopped by AHS last week.

Tardiness

Now that Fall is upon us we have noticed some students  getting to school a few minutes late each morning. We understand the mornings are becoming  a bit darker and colder, but please remind your child the importance of being on time and the impact of missed learning opportunities. We appreciate the collaboration.

Dismissal Process

Please remember if you need to dismiss your child you should  send an email to  your House office clerk. They will then get a dismissal pass to your child.

Late Work and Test Retakes

As progress reports are being shared next week, now is a good time to reshare expectations regarding late work and test retakes that we shared earlier this year…Here are some general guidelines: regarding late work, students will have two weeks from the due date to submit the assignment. Regarding test retakes, students will have two weeks upon the return of the test to retake it if they so choose. Furthermore, to be eligible for a test retake, students must do two things: 1) demonstrate effort on the initial assessment, and 2) reflect on their performance. Students must demonstrate effort so teachers can give accurate feedback regarding areas of improvement. Students must reflect on their teacher’s feedback and formulate a plan to improve performance.

Picture Retake Day

Lifetouch is scheduled to come to Attleboro High School for Picture Retakes.  Students who were absent on Picture Day and those who purchased a package and were unsatisfied with the picture are eligible for a retake.  If you purchased a package, you must hand in the original picture package and sign up for a retake.  The picture packages are being distributed early next week.

Daily Notices

A newsletter goes out daily to all staff  letting them know what’s coming up for the next day or two.  This is one way we keep staff and students  informed of the happenings at AHS.  We typically post a version of that newsletter on the Attleboro High School website at the bottom of the main menu.
